The Reiki Healing Circle
What Is Reiki?
From my perspective, Reiki is just what the name of my Reiki Level I workshop
implies…it is Love.  

Reiki is an amazing complimentary healing modality that works effectively with
other forms of energy healing as well as Western and Traditional medicine.

How exactly does Reiki physically work?  Well, Reiki flows through the
practitioner via energy channels that have been opened and cleared during the
attunement process.  The attunement process facilitates the unobstructed
movement of Reiki energy through the provider much like tuning your radio to a
specific frequency brings in a clear signal.  Think of it like this, the practitioner is
like a living electric cable and the Reiki is like the current that flows through the
cable to its intended destination.  The Reiki Healer is simply a very specialized
form of transmitter used to channel a very powerful and amazingly intelligent
energy.  An energy that has the ability to bring wonderful healing to all levels of
your being...mind, body, and spirit.

Not to mention, getting Reiki is like having a full massage without ever being
touched if you do not wish to be.  If you have never experienced the relaxation
that a massage can bring...it is heaven!  Reiki can provide this same and often
an even deeper level of relaxation and peace.  This deep level of relaxation and
peace is extraordinarily healing to your entire being.

Almost universally it is understood that physical and mental dis-ease have their
root in stress and emotional imbalances.  Reiki is an effective means of giving
your body, mind, and spirit the energy and the ability to begin it's healing
journey.

Reiki is often called the Universal Life Force Energy, and this is accurate as far
as it goes.  All life is created of the same energy; it simply takes on different
forms.  Reiki is one form of the energy of creation, it is akin to the “Qi” in Qi
Gong, the “Chi” in Tai Chi etc…but…while they are similar, they do not all
behave the same way nor are they used in the same manner.  Each form of
Energy work, healing, therapy etc...can and do work effectively together or as
stand alone modalities.  

Think of it this way, the energy of the Universe is everywhere all the time, in
tsunamis and earthquakes, things that are not directed at us as “bad” but that
we have no control over all the same.  Reiki is like the grace part of that energy,
the really good part that is a pure and simple gift of love.
